03/29: PhinsBlog.com Closing
Posted by: Patrick
Hello, I am sure that this may come as a surprise, but I have decided to close PhinsBlog.com. We launched on June 6, 2006 (06/06/06). I'm a huge, lifelong Miami Dolphins fan and that's why I decided to start a Miami Dolphins fan blog. Since that date, we have blogged about the Miami Dolphins from a fan's perspective, through two losing seasons, including 2007, the worst season in franchise history. In these two years, the Dolphins won less games than any other two year span in the team's history (except for 1966 and 1967, the first two years, when they also had 7 wins - but, in 4 less games). It's been a rough couple of years, but we've toughed it out and blogged about every game. Dolphins fans have reason to be optimistic. We have new leadership, it's a new season and we have the top draft choice. Everything is starting over and we'll get another chance. We may be a few seasons away from putting together a contender, but in the NFL, you never know. I'll always be a Dolphins fan. During this time, I've watched pretty much every minute of every game. I have found that I enjoy watching the games as a fan and enjoying them in that sense, more than I do having to write about them after they are over. So, that is really what is leading me to close the blog, at this time. The site will remain open for comments for a little longer. After they are closed, the site will remain online for a while until some point in the future, when I take it offline completely. I plan to keep the domain name and, perhaps, down the road, we may give this another try. I'm sorry to close the site so abruptly. I would like to thank everyone who has supported this site by reading it, linking to it or commenting. I have appreciated it and do appreciate it. Thank you for reading and for visiting PhinsBlog.com. Go Dolphins! Sincerely, Patrick CommentsAdd CommentREAD BEFORE COMMENTING: Participation constitutes agreement to our User Guidelines, which are stricter than most other blogs', so please read them before commenting.
