Saban wants Vick to train at QB: "It was our purpose and goal when we brought him here to continue to try to develop him as a quarterback," Saban said after Sunday's practice. "It is hard for us to get the four quarterbacks that we have reps in practice.
"I think that is a long-term goal of ours, if we can keep him in this organization some kind of way, that we would want to see if we could develop him as a quarterback as well. I think the diversity that he has because he was a quarterback is something that can also be featured in the offense." The eight-man practice squad is a possible destination for Vick, but that would allow other teams to claim him.
