PalmBeachPost.com has a Where Are They Now piece on former Dolphins kicker Uwe von Schamann. Von Schamann, who played for Miami from 1979 through 1984, is in his fifth year as director of fund raising at the J.D. McCarty Center, a rehabilitation hospital in Norman, Okla., for children with developmental disabilities.
His favorite fund-raiser was CrissCrossOklahoma, a bike tour covering 1,600 miles. He raised nearly $200,000 through sponsorships and donations.
