Just when you thought we couldn't find any other way to lose - we go and do it! The field conditions were absolutely terrible thanks to heavy rains that turned the field into slop. It was a sight to behold - during the first half, there were no yardage lines. They managed to streak some white lines at the 5 yard marks during half time, though. The weather led to the game being scoreless until the Steelers' Jeff Reed (who missed on a duck earlier in the game) connected on a 24 yard field goal with 17 seconds left.

This was the longest that a game had been scoreless since the 1940s, when a game ended tied at 0 after 4 quarters (there was no overtime). The two teams managed a total of 365 yards combined offense (159 for the Dolphins, 216 for the Steelers). The closest the Dolphins came to scoring was with 11:26 left in the fourth, where they attempted a field goal from the Steelers' 20. The field goal was no good, but there was a delay of game penalty before the snap, allowing the Dolphins to try again from 5 yards back.

Coach Cameron elected to go for it on 4th and 11, instead of trying another field goal, and John Beck was blind sided for a sack, fumbling to end the drive. The main difference in this one was probably the running game - the Steelers were able to muster 84 yards on 29 carries while the Dolphins were only able to gain 49 on 23. Jesse Chatman had 11 carries for 17 yards, before leaving the game in pain due to a neck injury after a tough hit. Ricky Williams had 6 carries for 15 yards - all in the first half. He did not start. He was stepped on, hurting his shoulder and ending his day. Patrick Cobbs had 4 carries for 10 yards and... wait for it... didn't get hurt!

It's hard to look good in a game like this, so I'll just say that Beck looked fairly solid out there. He seemed composed, making a number of good throws, despite the conditions. Hurt by some drops, he ended 14 of 23 for 132 yards with 1 carry for 8 yards. His favorite target was Marty Booker, who caught 5 passes for 54 yards. Ginn had 3 for 35 and David Martin had 2 for 35.

Channing Crowder had 12 tackles and half a sack, Joey Porter (more on him in a moment) had 8 tackles and 1 interception, Rodrique Wright had 7 tackles and half a sack, Michael Lehan had 6 tackles, Jason Allen had 6 tackles, Vonnie Holliday had 5 tackles and a big sack, Jason Taylor had 3 tackles and a sack, Will Allen had 5 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble and Quentin Moses had 1 tackle and 1 sack.

Porter had his interception early, near the Steelers bench and he stood there, looking at his former teammates face to face, celebrating the moment. He kept it up the whole game, talking a lot, after what seemed like each and every play. It seemed like they understood and no one really got angry, though I could have done without it. For whatever it's worth, the Dolphins seemed pumped and still in it, trying to win this game. When time expires, though, we're 0-11.

Next week, we host the Jets at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday.
