09/26: Chambers DWI and Reckless Driving Charges Dropped
Posted by: Patrick
From Sun-Sentinel.com: Dolphins receiver Chris Chambers, who's off to the best start of his seven-year career, received some good news off the field Tuesday when Charlotte, N.C., prosecutors accepted his plea agreement and will drop charges of impaired and reckless driving.
Chambers' attorney George Laughrun said he would enter a guilty plea for speeding on Chambers' behalf in a hearing today. Chambers doesn't have to appear, so he won't miss practice. Because the more serious charge was dropped, Chambers most likely won't face any further punishment from the Dolphins or NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
